Once upon a bamboo forest, in the heart of Walterstown, there lived a panda named Walter, who wasn’t your typical panda. Sure, he loved munching on bamboo shoots and doing somersaults, but he had a secret passion: football!
Walter dreamed of kicking points and scoring goals. But, pandas aren’t exactly known for their football skills. So, knowing his passion for the game his club approached him to be their mascot.
And so, Walter became the unofficial (but totally official) mascot of Walterstown GAA.
Donning his jersey (which was a bit snug around the belly), with his oversized football boots (paws don’t fit well, you know), Walter has a mission beyond panda antics. On June 22nd he’s leading the charge for our fundraiser!
Here’s why:
Fundraising Goals:
But Wait, There’s More! Walter isn’t just passionate about football and grassy fields. He’s also standing with Seth, our brave club member. Seth battles chronic Lyme disease and epilepsy, and Walter wants to help.
By joining our walk, you’re not only supporting our club but also easing Seth’s family’s burden. Together, we’ll raise funds for Seth’s treatment in the UK.
So, lace up your runners, grab your panda hats, and let’s make this fundraiser a roaring success! Walter promises to do the panda shuffle at the finish line (and maybe a victory roll, too). Thank you for your generosity, and let’s kick some goals—both on and off the pitch!
