Meet the Powells! John, Lucia, Daithí, Páidí, & Ailbí.
John serves as the current chairperson of Walterstown GFC and coaches the under-6s team & assists with the under 8s. His wife, Lucia, coaches the Tiny Tots and continues to support whenever needed. Their children are also deeply involved: Daithí plays with the under-8s, Páidí with the under-6s, and Ailbí has recently joined the Tiny Tots team.
The Powells are passionately dedicated to the club and are seeking your support to help raise much-needed funds for:
1. Fundraising for our Club: We're passionate about our local football club and its facilities. By walking, we aim to raise funds to enhance our all-weather pitches, install a scenic walkway, and refurbish the rear pitch. Your support will directly contribute to these improvements.
2. Standing with Seth: Club member Seth Rossiter, a courageous fighter, battles late-stage chronic Lyme disease and epilepsy (Doose Syndrome). Our walk also serves as a fundraiser for Seth's medical journey. Together, we can ease his family's burden by raising funds for his treatment in the UK.
